About the Japanese Spitz
The Japanese Spitz is a small to medium companion breed developed in Japan during the 1920s and 1930s by crossing several white spitz-type dogs. Standing 12 to 15 inches tall and weighing 10 to 25 pounds, they are known for their pure white, fluffy double coat, dark expressive eyes, and pointed ears. Playful, loyal, and alert, the Japanese Spitz makes an excellent family companion and adapts well to apartments despite its energetic nature.
