About the French Bulldog

Despite their name, the French Bulldog actually traces its roots to England. During the Industrial Revolution in the mid-1800s, lace workers in Nottingham bred miniature Bulldogs as lap warmers and companions. When many of these workers migrated to France seeking better opportunities, they brought their small Bulldogs along.
