About the Shorkie

The Shorkie is a designer crossbreed created by crossing the Shih Tzu with the Yorkshire Terrier. This small companion dog combines the Shih Tzu’s calm affection with the Yorkshire Terrier’s feisty confidence, resulting in a tiny dog with a surprisingly big personality. Standing 6 to 11 inches and weighing 5 to 12 pounds, the Shorkie features a long, silky coat and an alert, sweet expression.
